Job summary

TOPPAN Digital Language in London is seeking a Localization Project Manager for the late shift to lead the full lifecycle of translations for market insights. The role is full-time with a hybrid model (2 days in the office, 3 days at home) and hours from 14:00 to 22:30 GMT.

You will determine resources and costs, proactively identify risks, work with Vendor Management, Operations and Business Development, and mentor junior colleagues.

Qualifications

  • University degree in translation or languages or equivalent experience.
  • Fluent English in speech and writing.
  • 2+ years of project management experience.
  • Experience with Market Insights clients is a bonus.
  • Strong IT skills and CAT tools knowledge (MemoQ).

Responsibilities

  • Lead full lifecycle of translation projects from inception to completion.
  • Determine resource needs and cost structure to meet objectives.
  • Identify and resolve project issues and gaps.
  • Collaborate with Vendor Management, Operations and Business Development.
  • Mentor or train junior colleagues as needed.
  • Ensure high quality and ethical standards in resources.

Location: London

Working model: Hybrid (2 days in the office, 3 days at home)

  • Independently lead and effectively manage the full lifecycle of translations projects for highly market insights from inception to completion
  • Determine resource requirements and optimal cost structure based on objectives and operational needs
  • Proactively lead the identification of any potential issues and resolve and close identified gaps.
  • Work closely and diligently with Vendor Management, Operations and Business Development teams
  • Ensure project resources maintain a high level of quality and professional and ethical standards
  • Participate in mentoring or training of junior colleagues
  • University degree in relevant discipline (translation, languages) or equivalent experience
  • Fluent English spoken and written, other languages are a great advantage
  • 2+ years of project management experience
  • Experience with Market Insights clients is a bonus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing and growing business
  • Strong IT skills, advanced knowledge of CAT tools (MemoQ) and understanding of MT
  • Strong communication skills including presentation/meeting facilitation
  • Ability to take initiative in resolving queries/issues
  • Responsibility and accountability in client-facing situations
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Proactive and flexible team player
