Job summary

Carrington West is seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of SDF works projects in the Cambridge area. You will manage 4–5 live schemes concurrently, ensuring delivery, safety and stakeholder coordination across a demanding highway infrastructure environment.

The role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement with remote work one day per week, plus access to a long-term secured pipeline of work and a rolling 6-month contract.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering SDF works on infrastructure schemes.
• Valid CSCS Black Card and SMSTS certification.
• National Highways Passport and Safety Critical Medical required.
• Strong programme management skills on highways/civil projects.
• Experience coordinating stakeholders across multi-site schemes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of SDF works projects across Cambridge region.
• Manage 4–5 live projects concurrently with strong delivery focus.
• Coordinate stakeholders, risk, safety and programme milestones.
