Job summary

Johnson Controls in Manchester is seeking a Project Manager to lead Fixed Fire protection projects on military vessels for Navy worldwide, within the Global Marine & Navy Fire Team.

You will coordinate with design managers, manage resources, quotes, shipping, and maintain strong client relationships, with required UK diving and MOD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience in Project Management.
• Excellent communication skills - consulting directly with the client and internal project team.
• Experience interpreting clients’ technical specifications.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
• Full UK Diving License.
• SC UK MOD Security clearance will be required, screening provided by JCI.

Responsibilities

• Interpret client’s technical specifications and commercial documentation.
• Organize deliverable packages.
• Consult with design manager and request resourcing based on contract deliverables.
• Obtain quotes from suppliers and procurement of equipment.
• Organizing of goods to be shipped and generation of all relevant shipping documentation.
• Consulting with project team on a daily basis.
• Managing the contract/project plan (MS Project).
• Consulting directly with the customer and being the main point of contract.
• Financially responsible for projects / Developing progress and financial reports for the Tyco management team; Revenue/Billing Forecasts, Managing Contract cost Control (Cost to Complete Sheet).
• Ensuring that projects are brought to conclusion on time within budget and to the client’s satisfaction.
• There will be some travel in the UK, but Overseas travel may be required from time to time.

The role will be working in the Global Marine & Navy Fire Team based in Manchester managing Fixed Fire protection projects on military vessels for Navy’s worldwide.
