Job summary

Johnson Controls in Manchester is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead fixed fire protection projects on military vessels worldwide. You will manage client requirements, coordinate resources, and ensure delivery to the Navy’s standards from our UK base.

The role demands strong communication, a solid background in project management, and familiarity with MoD contracts. UK diving certification and SC clearance are prerequisites, with opportunities for career development and extensive

Qualifications

• Essential Experience in Project Management.
• Excellent communication skills - direct client and internal team liaison.
• Experience in interpreting clients’ technical specifications.
• Full UK Diving Licence.
• SC UK MOD Security clearance will be required.

Responsibilities

• Understand and interpret client specifications and commercial documents.
• Organize deliverable packages and coordinate with design manager for resources.
• Obtain quotes from suppliers and procure equipment.
• Organize goods shipment and generate shipping documentation.
• Manage the contract/project plan (MS Project) and provide progress reports.
• Act as main point of contact with the customer.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget to client satisfaction.
• Occasional travel within the UK; overseas travel may be required.
