Our client is a dynamic and experienced exhibition stand contractor, delivering high-quality, impactful exhibitions across the UK and Europe. With multiple offices spread across key UK locations, they specialize in custom exhibition builds, creative stand solutions, graphics, and exhibitor enhancements. Their collaborative approach, dedication to excellence, and commitment to delivering unforgettable events are at the heart of everything they do.

Role Overview:

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Project Manager to join their team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the successful delivery of exhibitions, from liaising with suppliers to overseeing project timelines and managing stakeholder relationships. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that thrives on creating memorable experiences for clients while maintaining a focus on quality and commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Liaise with external suppliers, negotiate rates, and place orders for key exhibition elements such as furniture, audio-visual equipment, and bespoke elements.
2. Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth communication, providing the necessary production drawings, job specifications, and references.
3. Manage deadlines effectively, ensuring all information is submitted to the relevant teams promptly.
4. Be the main point of contact for contractors and teams working on the project.
5. Prepare sign-off documents, feedback forms, and folders for site use.
6. Collaborate with the design team to analyse and modify production drawings as per client or production requests.
7. Coordinate with the Head of Projects to plan and monitor resource allocation for future months.
8. Write and review health and safety documents, including method statements, risk assessments, and construction phase plans.
9. Attend meetings including handovers, pre-show, and post-show discussions.
10. Perform administrative duties such as preparing production files and assisting the wider team.
11. Work with the Sales Director to identify repeat sales opportunities and drive organic growth.
12. Manage relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
13. Use finance software to raise purchase orders, monitor project spend, and manage invoicing.
14. Monitor the profit and loss of all projects with a strong commercial focus.
15. Produce post-show reports to maintain professional standards and identify areas for improvement.
16. Be flexible with travel across the UK and internationally if required.

Key Skills & Experience:

1. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar project or events/exhibition role.
2. Knowledge of health and safety standards within the events industry.
3. Experience in a commercial environment with a good understanding of profit and loss reporting.
4. A proven track record in managing successful project deliveries in a fast-paced environment.
5. Highly organized with the ability to prioritize effectively under pressure.
6. Strong knowledge of industry practices and procedures.
7. Ability to lead and manage multiple teams and deliver successful projects.
8. Strong relationship-building skills with a client-focused attitude.
9. Self-motivated and results-driven with excellent communication skills.
10. Contract management and negotiation experience.
