Job summary

WR Engineering is seeking a Project Manager in Manchester to lead engineered-to-order HVAC and fire suppression projects. You will be customer facing and responsible for scheduling, coordinating procurement, production, testing and the supply chain.

The role requires several years of PM experience in engineering or manufacturing, a Mechanical Engineering degree (or Building Services/HNC), and certifications such as AMP, PMP or Prince2.

Qualifications

• Several years of project management experience in engineering or manufacturing.
• Experience of building services or industrial PM.
• Ability to organise planning and programming of projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer-facing projects and maintain schedules.
• Coordinate procurement, production, testing, and the supply chain with stakeholders.
• Create procurement plans and manage cost control and interim/final accounts.
• Prepare RAMS and risk assessments; attend design meetings and site visits.
• Raise monthly claims and invoices; report to a remote line manager.

Project Manager

£65K + 25 days holidays. Typically factory based.

My client is an established global manufacturer of engineered-to-order HVAC & fire suppression solutions.

We invite applications from Project Managers with Building Services or industrial engineering PM experience.

The Role

• Customer facing
• Maintaining project schedules are key to this role
• Working with key internal and external stakeholders to gain commitment to deliver; procurement, production, test, customer, supply‑chain
• Project Management and Project Engineering - organise planning/programming of the project
• Cost control and interim/final accounts
• Prepare procurement plan
• Project control including RFIs, Variations, Delays, Preparation of O&M manuals, raising monthly claims/invoices
• Attend design meetings with clients and carry out a site visits periodically
• Design risk assessment and produce RAMS

Hour: 38 hours, flexible working between, lunchtime finish Fridays

You

• Several years project management experience in an engineering or manufacturing capacity
• degree/HNC in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, alternatively Business Administration
• AMP/PMP, Prince2 certified
• Super organised, ability to work autonomously reporting to a remote line manager
