Job summary

April Quest is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its North Devon team. You will lead a portfolio of complex engineering and product-development projects within a regulated environment, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring delivery on time, budget and quality.

You will manage the full lifecycle from requirements capture to verification and delivery, maintain stakeholder communications, support bids, and drive continuous improvement across projects and processes.

Qualifications

• Three to five years’ experience as a Project Manager within aerospace, engineering or a technology-led environment.
• Experience delivering multiple complex projects within an engineering environment.
• Experience managing projects throughout the full lifecycle, from requirements capture and planning through to verification, qualification and delivery.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role, including gathering requirements, providing progress updates and managing expectations.
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, resources, risks and issues.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and operational teams.
• Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Commercially aware, proactive and comfortable managing changing priorities.
• PRINCE2 or PMP qualification is preferred. Candidates without a formal qualification will be considered if they can demonstrate successful delivery of multiple complex engineering projects.

• Full time Monday – Friday 38.5 hours per week.

As Project Manager, you will lead a varied portfolio of complex engineering and product-development projects within a regulated, engineering & technology-led environment.

You will take responsibility for projects throughout the full lifecycle, from initial planning and requirements definition through development, testing, qualification and final delivery. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure projects meet agreed timescales, budgets, quality standards and customer requirements.

This is a customer-facing role in which you will act as a key point of contact, provide regular progress updates and manage expectations. You will work collaboratively with customers and internal teams to resolve technical and commercial issues and achieve successful project outcomes.

The role involves managing multiple projects and competing priorities, coordinating resources, monitoring performance and addressing risks before they affect delivery. You will also support new product development, continuous improvement, and the preparation of bids and proposals.
