Project Management Role at WeWork

Our Project Managers oversee a portfolio of projects initiated by internal stakeholders: Growth (new locations), Operations (capital improvements & remodels), and Sales (customizing existing portfolios for enterprise clients). They coordinate cross-functional teams and engage third-party vendors to ensure successful project completion. The role requires travel to maintain project presence across various locations. The Senior Project Manager will engage with diverse stakeholders including:

  • Corporate Clients
  • Internal teams: Design, Supply Chain, Cost Management, ICT, Sales, Operations, Legal

The ideal candidate will have experience in architecture, construction, or real estate industries; direct client engagement; a strong understanding of enterprise real estate sales; and proven ability to manage multiple priorities. They should excel in stakeholder engagement, develop creative and cost-effective solutions, and have project management skills, including communication, organization, and the ability to simplify complex situations into clear project plans. Experience across project stages such as due diligence, design, bidding, negotiation, contract management, and construction is essential. The candidate must be self-motivated, capable of working independently and supervising other project managers, and passionate about design and construction.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee quality, budget, and schedule of development, customization, and capital improvement projects
  • Manage the full project team and oversee multiple projects, prioritizing effectively
  • Ensure adequate resourcing and motivate the project team
  • Lead project gate reviews and sign-offs from initiation to handoff
  • Act as primary contact for internal and external project team members
  • Collaborate with Sales on proposals, including test fits, cost estimates, and schedules
  • Advise clients and sales teams on customization solutions and implementation
  • Prepare Capex and layout approval decks for executive review
  • Identify and mitigate risks during project phases, including design, permits, construction, and staging
  • Manage project handover, documentation, snagging, and closeout within specified timelines
  • Maintain and generate project reports and financial forecasts
  • Support financial processes related to project contributions and cash flows
  • Support departmental initiatives and be willing to travel as needed
About You
  • 5-8+ years of experience in development phases from schematic design to construction management
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with clients
  • Knowledge of construction industry standards and codes
  • Self-starter capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in retail and commercial construction/development, with contract values over $2M, is preferred
  • Willing to travel up to 50%
  • Passionate about construction, development, and community growth
