Job summary

WR Engineering is seeking a Project Manager for conveyors and automation projects. You will own projects from handover through design, procurement, manufacture, FAT, installation and commissioning, with significant UK/European site travel.

The role requires hands-on project delivery, strong commercial control, and excellent customer management. RAMS/CDM knowledge and MS Office proficiency are essential, with a UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

Must have proven experience managing engineering projects in manufacturing/engineering environments.
Strong commercial awareness with ability to deliver to programme and budget.
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
Good knowledge of RAMS and CDM requirements.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Willingness to travel across UK/Europe and stay away when required.

Responsibilities

Manage projects from contract award through to completion, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to budget/specification.
Develop and manage project programmes, milestones and resources.
Collaborate with Design, Project Engineering, Assembly and Installation teams.
Coordinate FAT, installation, commissioning and SAT.
Oversee budgets, procurement, suppliers and subcontractors; handle variations and change requests.
Act as main customer contact and lead progress meetings; ensure safety compliance (RAMS/CDM).
Support development of the wider Projects team.
