Job summary

VA Recruitment is seeking a Multi-Skilled Field Service Engineer to cover the Midlands. You will perform preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs on client systems across the UK, ensuring safety and reliability. The role involves travel, on‑site work, and collaborating with a wider engineering team.

Ideal candidates have conveyor experience, strong electrical/mechanical skills, and a proven record of delivering PPMs and KPI targets in industrial environments.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds qualification or recognised engineering apprenticeship (electrical or mechanical).
• Experience in logistics/manufacturing environments with conveyor systems.
• Experience delivering PPMs, KPIs and on-site services.
• Operates under permit‑to‑work and safety regimes.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) per schedules.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on client sites.
• Identify improvements to equipment and maintenance processes.
• Participate in service and call-out rota across the UK.
• Maintain safety compliance and accurate service records.
• Travel across the UK and occasionally overseas to sites.
