Job summary

WR Engineering is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service conveyors and material handling equipment across the UK, with a home-based role ideally near Leeds. You’ll maintain belt conveyors and automated lines, delivering solutions to meet customer needs and building strong client relationships.

The role includes planned maintenance, fault finding across mechanical, electrical and control systems, and occasional exhibitions attendance.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical engineering experience.
• Field service or maintenance experience.
• 18th Edition qualification & ECS Card.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Conveyor or warehouse automation experience.
• Interroll equipment knowledge would be highly advantageous.
• PLC and controls experience.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventive maintenance and system inspections.
• Mechanical, electrical and controls fault-finding.
• Breakdown repairs and remedial work.
• Producing service reports and recommendations.
• Building strong relationships with customers.
• Identifying opportunities for upgrades, spare parts and servicing; supporting quotations and updating CRM.
• Occasionally attending exhibitions and networking events.
