Job summary

The Royal Parks is seeking a Project Manager (Capital Works) to lead and deliver capital projects across London’s green spaces. You will manage external consultants and internal teams to ensure feasibility, design and construction meet quality, budget and schedule expectations.

Working 36 hours per week on a permanent basis, you will contribute to the Roehampton Restored programme and help shape the future of Richmond Park and other treasured sites within eight Royal Parks.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing construction or capital works projects.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Knowledge of project delivery frameworks (RIBA stages, governance, risk management).
  • Experience working with consultants and contractors in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety legislation (e.g. CDM 2015).
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from early feasibility through to completion, coordinating consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage projects to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.
  • Contribute to Roehampton Restored programme and flagship project governance.
  • Collaborate with Senior Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager to drive delivery.

Job description

The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are: Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.

We also manage other important public spaces including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. Our eight Royal Parks and other public spaces are among the most visited attractions in the UK with tens of millions of visits every year.

We are now looking for a Project Manager (Capital Works) to join us on a permanent, full-time basis, working 36 hours per week.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will lead projects from early feasibility through to completion, managing consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.

You’ll also play a key role in the delivery of the Roehampton Restored programme, contributing to a flagship project that will shape the future of Richmond Park, working with both a Senior Project Manager and an Assistant Project Manager

About You

To be considered as a Project Manager, you will need:
