Job summary

The Royal Parks Ltd is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the water-based leisure services across Hyde Park Boat House, Serpentine Lido, Regent's Park Boating Lakes and Greenwich Park Boating Lake. You will drive an excellent customer journey while ensuring safety, efficiency and a positive visitor experience.

You will recruit, induct and train a large seasonal team, oversee bookings, open/close venues as a key-holder and coordinate staffing across sites to deliver outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in leisure, hospitality or service sectors.
• Experience delivering high-volume customer services.
• Ability to manage people and resources effectively.
• Able to build strong working relationships and collaborate across teams.

The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James's Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.
We also manage other important public spaces including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. Our eight Royal Parks and other iconic green spaces are among the most visited attractions in the UK with tens of millions of visits every year.
The Role
As an Operations Manager, you will lead the operational teams for the water-based leisure services in The Hyde Park Boat House, Serpentine Lido, The Regents Park Boating Lakes and The Greenwich Park Boating Lake.
Managing the delivery of an excellent customer journey and experience, you will ensure our activities are safe and efficient delivered in a positive environment that will leave a lasting impression on our visitors and team.
You will also oversee the customer booking process, ensuring efficiency and enjoyment and responding to service demands, escalating issues when necessary.
You will play a role in the recruiting, inducting and training our large seasonal team to a high standard.
Additionally, you will:
* Act as a key-holder, opening and closing venues
* Co-ordinate the efficient and effective deployment of the team
* Undertake front of house, operational assistant duties and lifeguarding supervision
* Ensure that the venues and equipment are clean and escalate any disrepair
About You
To be considered as an Operations Manager, you will need:
* Supervisory experience in the leisure, hospitality or service industries
* Experience of managing services with high volumes of customers
* The ability to provide effective management of people and resources
* The ability to build effective working relationships and foster collaboration
