Job summary

Progressive is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the civils package of a major hospital construction project in Birmingham. This on-site role is an initial 3-month contract, outside IR35, with a day rate of around £350.

You will coordinate groundworks, RC frames and piling, manage subcontractors, and monitor progress to ensure safety, quality and timely milestones. Start date is early November.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager on construction projects.
• Experience delivering groundworks, RC frames, and piling.
• Hospital or healthcare construction experience is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders on a fast-paced site.

Project Manager - Hospital Civils Package

Birmingham | Outside IR35 | £350 per day | Initial 3-Month Contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the civils package on a major hospital construction project in Birmingham.

Working on-site Monday to Friday, you will take responsibility for managing all aspects of the civil works package, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery throughout the project lifecycle. This is an initial 3-month contract with the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all civils activities including groundworks, RC frames, and piling
• Oversee subcontractors and ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently
• Monitor programme progress and ensure project milestones are achieved
• Manage quality, health & safety, and compliance requirements
• Resolve technical and operational site issues as they arise
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders to maintain effective communication

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager on construction projects
• Strong background delivering groundworks, reinforced concrete (RC) frames, and piling packages
• Previous hospital or healthcare construction experience is highly desirable
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced site environment
