Job summary

Progressive is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the civils package of a major hospital construction project in Birmingham. This on-site role is an initial 3-month contract, outside IR35, with a day rate of around £350.

You will coordinate groundworks, RC frames and piling, manage subcontractors, and monitor progress to ensure safety, quality and timely milestones. Start date is early November.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager on construction projects.
• Experience delivering groundworks, RC frames, and piling.
• Hospital or healthcare construction experience is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders on a fast-paced site.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate civils activities including groundworks, RC frames, and piling.
• Oversee subcontractors and ensure safety and efficiency.
• Monitor programme progress and achieve project milestones.
• Manage quality, health & safety, and compliance requirements.
• Resolve site issues and liaise with clients and stakeholders.
• Maintain effective communication with project team and consultants.
