Pains Fireworks Ltd is hiring an experienced Project Manager to lead high-profile events across the sporting and entertainment sectors. You will manage projects from enquiry through delivery, liaising with clients, suppliers and venues, and being on-site to ensure a spectacular result.
The role requires strong project management, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage budgets, schedules and crews.
We are looking for an experienced, client-facing Project Manager to join our growing special effects and fireworks company and take responsibility for delivering a wide range of exciting, high-profile projects across the events industry.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with clients, managing projects from initial enquiry through to delivery, and being on-site to see the finished result come to life.
You’ll be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, including:
Our work is incredibly varied. Our largest area of work is within the sporting world, but we deliver special effects and displays for:
No two projects are the same, and the role will involve a mixture of office‑based planning and on‑site event delivery across the UK and potentially internationally.
We’re looking for someone with previous project management experience and a proven track record of successfully delivering projects.
Experience within the events, entertainment, production, sporting or live events industries would be an advantage, but it isn't essential if you can demonstrate strong project management experience from another sector.
You should be:
An interest in sport would be an advantage, given the significant amount of work we undertake within the sporting world, but again, not essential if you possess the right skills.
Full training will be provided in relation to our specific products, systems, equipment, and the technical aspects of the role, but previous project management experience is essential. We are looking for someone who can bring strong project management, organisational and client-facing skills to the business from day one.
This is a full‑time position based at our HQ near Salisbury (SP5).
We offer some flexibility to work from home where appropriate, but the successful candidate will need to live within a sensible commuting distance of our HQ.
The role also involves travel for site visits and event delivery, so a full UK driving licence is essential.
There are also significant opportunities to earn additional on‑site fees and bonuses, as we expect this role to be actively involved in the delivery of events and projects on‑site.
This is an opportunity to join an exciting and specialist business, work alongside some of the biggest names in sport and entertainment, and be involved in spectacular productions that audiences remember.
If you're an experienced Project Manager looking for a role that offers variety, responsibility, client interaction and the chance to work on genuinely exciting high-profile projects, we'd love to hear from you.
