Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is recruiting an experienced Project Manager to lead a c. £5m high-security fit-out scheme in Reading. You will oversee delivery from pre-construction to completion, coordinating client, design team, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.

The role requires proven experience with £5m+ projects, strong fit-out/refurbishment background, excellent programme and subcontractor management, and the ability to maintain security and quality standards.

Qualifications

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading main contractor on a c. £5m high-security fit-out scheme in Reading.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of the project from pre-construction through to completion, working closely with the client, design team, consultants, subcontractors and internal commercial and operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Taking overall responsibility for project delivery, programme, quality and health & safety.
• Managing and coordinating subcontractors, consultants and site teams.
• Driving the programme to ensure key milestones and completion dates are achieved.
• Managing project risks, change and commercial interfaces.
• Leading project meetings and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Ensuring works are delivered to the required specification and quality standards.

About You

We are looking for an established Project Manager with a strong track record of delivering £5m+ fit-out or refurbishment projects, ideally within commercial, government, defence, critical infrastructure or other security-sensitive environments.

You will ideally have:

• Excellent programme and subcontractor management skills.

Security Clearance

High-level security clearance is an essential requirement for this position. Due to the sensitive nature of the project, candidates will be subject to the relevant security vetting and clearance requirements before being granted access to the site/project.
