Job summary

Kenton Black is seeking a Project Manager for a £20 million industrial unit project in the Northampton area. The role supports a demolition and new steel portal frame build, with responsibility from inception through to handover and close reporting to a Contracts Manager.

Experience as the no.1 Project Manager on similar projects is essential. Certifications such as CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid are mandatory, with flexibility for freelance or permanent arrangements.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as the no.1 Project Manager on portal frame industrial/logistic unit projects.
• CSCS card, SMSTS and First Aid certificates are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the programme is adhered to and track progress against milestones.
• Chair client/subcontractor progress meetings and issue progress reports to senior management.
• Manage subcontractors and provide overall project leadership from inception to handover.
• Maintain full autonomy for running the project on a live site, coordinating all build activities.

Job description

Regional build contractor are looking for a Project Manager on either as freelance, permanent or a freelance to permanent basis for the construction of a £20 Million industrial unit, project will involve the demolition of existing building and the construction of a new steel portal frame unit. Reporting to the visiting Contracts Manager you will have full autonomy for the running of the project from inception through the full build stage through to final handover. Primary responsibilities and duties will involve ensuring the programme is adhered to, subcontract management, chairing client/subcontractor progress meetings as well as issuing progress reports to senior management team. Proven track record as the no.1 Project Manager and a proven employment history working on portal frame industrial/logistic unit projects would be an essential requirement.

CSCS Card. SMSTS and First Aid certificates will be a mandatory requirement.
