Laing O'Rourke is recruiting a Project Manager for the East West Rail project in Milton Keynes. You will take responsibility for planning, coordinating and delivering project packages, leading the site team and ensuring safety, quality and alignment with client requirements.

Experience leading civil engineering teams and 10–15 years in delivery is essential. The role requires collaboration with design and engineering, and close interaction with stakeholders across the client and supply chain.

Responsabilités

• Take overall responsibility for planning, coordination and delivery of your project or package of works.
• Provide strong leadership to the project team and drive a safety and quality culture.
• Develop and manage the construction programme, identifying milestones, risks and dependencies.
• Coordinate site operations and manage labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with design/engineering to resolve technical challenges and ensure delivery aligns with requirements.
• Build strong relationships with client, supply chain and wider stakeholders.
• Work with commercial teams to understand performance, manage change and maintain commercial awareness.
• Manage project risks and opportunities to protect programme, cost, quality and safety.
• Ensure works meet project specifications and quality standards.
• Lead project meetings, reporting and communications with clear progress visibility.

Expanded are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to work on our East West Rail project.
Location: Milton Keynes
Expanded Structures delivers complex basement, substructure and superstructure frames with the technical expertise and practical experience to support demanding projects. Working collaboratively with our clients and partners, we bring together design, engineering and delivery capability to provide safe, efficient and high-quality construction solutions from the earliest stages through to completion.

Role & Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the planning, coordination and delivery of your project or package of works.
• Provide strong leadership to the project team, driving a positive health, safety and quality culture.
• Develop and manage the construction programme, identifying key milestones, risks and dependencies.
• coordinate site operations, ensuring labour, plant, materials and subcontractors are effectively planned and managed.
• Work closely with design and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure construction requirements are considered throughout delivery.
• Build strong working relationships with the client, supply chain and wider project stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with the commercial team to understand project performance, manage change and maintain commercial awareness.
• Manage project risks and opportunities, taking early action where issues could impact programme, cost, quality or safety.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, designs and quality requirements.
• Lead project meetings, reporting and communication, providing clear visibility of progress and upcoming priorities.

Requirements

• Civil Engineering degree or similar qualification
• Temporary Works & self-delivery experience
• Previous experience leading & managing teams of Engineers
• Circa 10-15 years' experience within Civil Engineering (delivery)
• Infrastructure experience
