Job summary

Advania is seeking a Project Manager to join our Milton Keynes team. You will deliver projects across a range of clients from initiation to billing, drawing on MSP/IT services experience.

The role requires coordinating with project engineers and internal teams to keep projects on track and to act as the main escalation point when issues arise. We support a hybrid working policy with time in the office and from home.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing MSP-based projects for external customers.
• Prince2 Foundation certification required; Practitioner preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage changing workloads and priorities.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Milton Keynes. This is a great opportunity to join a thriving IT services business and deliver projects across a range of clients. This role would suit someone with existing project management experience from an IT services or MSP / managed services provider background.

Salary & Benefits

The budgeted salary for this role is between £35,000 and £40,000 a year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of customer projects from creation through to billing and closure.

What Success Looks Like

• Develop a strong understanding of Advania SMB processes and systems used to manage project delivery.
• Build effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders, including Pre-Sales, Sales, Delivery teams and project engineers.
• Create and manage projects in line with company processes, from initiation through to billing and closure.
• Oversee multiple live projects at the same time, ensuring delivery remains on track.
• Monitor project time, utilisation and profitability, and ensure time is recorded accurately by both project managers and engineers.
• Act as the main escalation point for engineers during project delivery and support project scheduling where required.
• Build strong customer relationships to ensure projects are delivered in line with expectations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience managing projects within an MSP environment, including delivering small to medium-sized projects for external customers.
• Good knowledge of Prince2 methodology, with Foundation certification as a minimum and Practitioner preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
• Self-motivated, proactive and customer-focused, with the ability to manage changing workloads and priorities.
• Strong planning, organisation, risk and change management skills, with the ability to lead cross-departmental project teams.
• Commercial awareness, including the ability to track project time, understand the impact of delays on profitability, and elevate where needed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Project and Visio, with a creative and analytical approach to problem-solving.
