A leading energy company is seeking a Project Manager to oversee electrical connection projects and ensure compliance with safety standards. The role offers flexibility and involves managing external contractors and project finances. Candidates should have a strong background in electrical project delivery, preferably in the utilities sector. A HNC or higher in Electrical or Electronic Engineering is required, along with excellent communication skills. This position includes a competitive salary and a range of flexible benefits.
Base Location: Melksham, Swindon, Thatcham, Cardiff or Reading
Salary: £49,004 - £57,728 max + car allowance (see below) and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our team!
In this role, you’ll support the Regional Team Manager and Out of Area Delivery Manager in delivering SSE Networks Out of Area Projects.
You’ll manage and coordinate external contractors, overseeing all aspects of connections to the SEPD and SHEPD Networks, across all voltages, including unmetered connections. You’ll ensure every project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to regulatory standards, driving performance, maximising value, and ensuring our networks are fit for purpose.
With a focus on innovation and continuous improvement, you’ll help shape the future of our network delivery.
We’re looking for a proactive, hands‑on Project Manager who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys turning plans into action.
** This role involves travel across various locations to support business needs and a full UK driving licence is required for this position. To enable you to fulfil these responsibilities, as a role requirement, the company will provide access to a vehicle for work‑related travel.
The requirement will be reviewed on an ongoing basis, and if the company car policy criteria are met, there will be an opportunity to join the company car scheme. Provision of a company car or cash allowance does not form part of the contractual terms and conditions of employment for this role.
