Job summary

M Group is seeking a capable civil engineering project lead to deliver complex wastewater infrastructure programs from concept to completion. You will coordinate design teams, manage programmes, review designs, and resolve challenges while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.

This role emphasizes NEC4 contract knowledge, CDM and SHEQ compliance, and safe working practices, with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing civil engineering or construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar planning software.
  • Good understanding of NEC4 contracts and their application.
  • Thorough knowledge of CDM regulations, SHEQ principles, and safe working practices.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Technical drawing interpretation abilities.

Responsibilities

This role will be within our wastewater Storm Overflow Alliance project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What you'll be doing?

You’ll be leading and managing civil engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery. Working closely with design teams and key stakeholders, you’ll help drive project success by reviewing designs, resolving challenges, and maintaining strong communication throughout. You’ll oversee project programmes, monitor progress, and support delivery against agreed timescales and budgets. Using your knowledge of NEC4 contracts and project management tools, you’ll also work closely with commercial teams to ensure projects are delivered in line with contractual and commercial requirements.
