Job summary

A project management opportunity with Allscreens Nationwide Ltd within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. You will oversee large capital projects under the Thames Water Infrastructure Capital Delivery Framework in the Thames Valley, guiding from inception to completion with a focus on safety, efficiency and quality.

You will lead a team of professionals, coordinate with stakeholders, and mentor delivery teams across design and construction phases.

Qualifications

  • Degree/HNC/HND in Civil, Mechanical Engineering or Construction required.
  • Management training such as ILM Level 5 or equivalent.
  • NEBOSH National Certificate (General or Construction) preferred.
  • Experience in water industry and rising main projects advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver against operational targets.
  • Experience in civils, tunnelling, trunk mains advantageous.
  • Experience managing designers and subcontractors.
  • SMSTS certification desired.
  • APM certification desired.
  • Water hygiene certification beneficial.
  • Thames Water Passport advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee large capital projects across the Thames Water Infrastructure Capital Delivery Framework in the Thames Valley.
  • Lead complex clean and waste water projects from inception to completion, ensuring safety, on-time delivery and quality.
  • Manage a project team and act as the main client/stakeholder contact.
  • Coordinate with highways, local authorities, Thames Water operations and other stakeholders.
  • Liaise with clients, designers and delivery teams through design and delivery phases.
  • Mentor and lead project teams, promoting collaboration and best practice.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to deliver value and efficiency.

This role will be within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What will you be doing?

As our Project Manager you'll be overseeing large capital projects on our Thames Water Infrastructure Capital Delivery Framework across the Thames Valley area.

You'll be responsible for overseeing complex clean and waste water projects consisting of deep excavations, temporary works , tunnelling , shaft sinking , piling works ,pumping station construction M&E fit outs , all from inception to completion and for the safe, on time, efficient and right first time delivery.

You'll lead a team of professionals as well as being the point of contact for the Client and stakeholders. Work with the delivery team , co-ordinate project stakeholders such as highways, local authorities, Thames Water operations .

We'll need you to liaise with clients, designers and delivery teams throughout the target cost setting, design and delivery phases of a project.

You'll have the opportunity to mentor and lead project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

You'll develop an environment where staff share ideas and best practice. Problem solve, identify risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensuring projects are delivered in a safe, efficient, timely way and promoting best practice in quality management

We'll need you to deliver excellent customer service and achieve above target customer satisfaction scores. Minimise/reduce the number of complaints received. Increase productivity, without compromising on safety and continuously drive efficiency.

Assist in maximising cash collection and minimising work in progress and deliver targeted margin. Undertake SHE audits and inspections.

What you’ll bring
  • - Do you have a Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent in Civil, Mechanical Engineering or Construction?
  • - Have you gained management training such as Institute of Leadership and Management Level 5 or equivalent?
  • - Do you have a NEBOSH National Certificate (General or Construction)?
  • - Do you have experience of working in the water industry and rising main projects?
  • - Proven ability to deliver against operational targets
  • - Do you have experience of civils, tunnelling, trunk mains?
  • - Experience in managing designers and subcontractors.
