Job description

Astute's Power Team is partnering with a leading power solutions provider committed to customer care, service, safety and the development of its people, to recruit a Project Manager for its Havant, Hampshire site.

The key Project Manager role comes with a salary of £40,000-£50,000 DOE, a supportive working environment and opportunities for professional development and success.

Responsibilities and duties of the Project Manager role

• Lead the planning and execution of multiple projects concurrently, ensuring successful completion within defined timescales and financial parameters.
• Create and manage detailed project plans covering scope, objectives, deliverables and schedules, while identifying and mitigating potential risks.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with contract specifications, including quality, timescales and costs, and is properly authorised and documented.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to allocate resources, define project tasks and achieve project milestones.
• Plan resources effectively to maximise utilisation of personnel while minimising material and equipment costs.
• Ensure all staff working under your supervision operate safely and comply with company and site-specific health and safety requirements.
• Take responsibility for consistent project delivery, including high-quality services and effective operational team time management.
• Manage contractual performance in line with approved budgets, KPIs, performance monitoring systems, output specifications and contractual requirements.
• Manage the project supply chain in a cost-effective manner.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with client representatives and managers.
• Ensure all technical information is available when required for design and construction delivery.
• Work closely with Design and Installation teams to interpret drawings and specifications, schedule project activities and ensure final documentation is submitted on time.
• Work with Design and Installation teams to develop method statements and risk assessments.
• Manage health, safety and environmental matters across projects under your control.

Professional qualifications

• Proven track record in Project Management, ideally with an engineering or supervisory background.
• An industry-recognised Project Management qualification.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, supply chain partners and team members.
• A flexible approach to working and willingness to travel.
• A full UK driving licence.
