Job summary

Astute is partnering with a fast-growing construction company to recruit an Electrical Project Manager to lead a portfolio including Solar, BESS, EV charging and substations. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will plan, program and deliver projects from start to handover, with full commercial and technical ownership.

You should hold 18th Edition and City & Guilds 2391, be a certified electrician or electrical engineer, and bring strong PM experience.

Qualifications

• 18th Edition and City & Guilds 2391 qualifications.
• Certified electrician or qualified electrical engineer.
• Experience on solar, BESS, substation, EV charging, HV works.
• SAP experience with 33kV minimum.
• Strong commercial project management experience.
• Chartership is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a portfolio of works from start to finish.

• Take commercial and technical responsibility over your projects.
• Subcontractor management and negotiations.
• Regular CVR reporting.

Responsibilities and duties of the Electrical Project Manager role

Reporting to the Operations Manager you will:

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• 18th Edition.
• City & Guilds 2391.
• Either a certified electrician or qualified electrical engineer.
• Experience on relevant projects (solar, BESS, substation, EV charging, HV works).
• SAP either currently or previously (33kv minimum).
• Strong commercial project management experience.
• Chartership is desirable.

The Electrical Project Management role would suit someone who is:

• A self-starter, and ready to hit the ground running.
• Confident and experienced in running a portfolio of projects.
• Happy to travel, as this role will involve travel to sites.
