Job description

The Vacancy

We're looking for a Project Manager to join our Customer Fit Out team and play a key role in delivering Workspace's fitted and furnished product across our portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project professional who enjoys managing multiple projects at pace, coordinating a wide range of stakeholders, and bringing high-quality workspace environments to life.

As part of the team, you'll be responsible for delivering approved office fit-out schemes from procurement through construction, furnishing, and handover. You'll work closely with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget, while maintaining a consistent customer-focused product standard across the Workspace portfolio.

This role offers the opportunity to influence how Workspace develops and delivers its fitted workspace offering, working alongside Asset Management, Design & Development, Operations, Sales, and Customer Experience teams to create flexible, high-quality workspaces that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Managing fitted office and refurbishment projects from procurement through construction, furnishing, snagging, and handover.
  • Delivering multiple workspace fit-out projects simultaneously across the Workspace portfolio.
  • Translating approved investment cases and design concepts into practical delivery plans, programmes, and budgets.
  • Coordinating contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitoring programme, quality, cost, risk, and project performance to ensure successful delivery.
  • Providing practical buildability, programme, and cost advice during the delivery phase.
  • Managing works within occupied and operational buildings while minimising disruption to customers.
  • Procuring and managing suppliers and delivery partners, ensuring quality and value for money.
  • Managing project costs, change control, approvals, and reporting against approved investment cases.
  • Coordinating project completion, snagging, handovers, and readiness for marketing and leasing.
  • Capturing lessons learned and identifying opportunities to improve product standards, delivery efficiency, and portfolio performance.
  • Maintaining clear project reporting, governance, and stakeholder communication throughout delivery.
What You'll Need
  • Project management experience within construction, commercial property, fit-out, refurbishment, or a related built environment sector.
  • Experience delivering projects from approved design and budget through procurement, construction, and handover.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of construction, building fabric, M&E services, and fit-out delivery.
  • Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, costs, quotations, and project performance.
  • Experience managing contractors, consultants, suppliers, and external partners.
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements, Building Regulations, fire safety, and accessibility compliance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, organisation, and problem- solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Relevant construction, property, project management, or fit-out qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
Desirable
  • Experience delivering fit-out or refurbishment programmes within occupied buildings.
  • Knowledge of JCT or similar construction contracts.
  • Experience delivering repeatable or standardised fit-out programmes across multiple locations.
  • Experience working within commercial property, flexible workspace, or multi-site property portfolios.
This role requires you to be in the office with regular travel across sites in the Workspace portfolio.

You must be authorised to work in the UK to be considered for this position.
