Diversity Jobsite is seeking a Project Manager for Active Journeys Scotland in Glasgow. You will lead engagement and behaviour change work for infrastructure and built environment projects, coordinating budgets and stakeholder collaboration.

The role emphasises community-focused delivery, multi-stakeholder engagement, and ensuring safety for vulnerable groups. Travel across Strathclyde region is required.

Contract: Permanent
Location: Glasgow, with travel expected across the Strathclyde region.
Full-time 37.5 hours per week – we are happy to talk flexible working
£33,265 per annum (pro rata for part time)

About the role

Team: Active Journeys Scotland As a Project Manager, you’ll be playing a key role in delivering projects designed to help people walk, wheel and cycle and get better access to their local services. You will lead on engagement and behaviour change projects in an infrastructure setting, managing budgets, and fostering collaboration with stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Plan and deliver workshops and events with the local community.
  • Build and maintain impactful relationships with key local stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Manage project budgets, as delegated by line manager.
  • Provide specialist engagement and behaviour change advice, and guidance in the context of infrastructure and/or built environment projects.
  • Review proposals, including technical plans, supported by design and engineering colleagues.
  • This role is ideal for someone who enjoys multitasking and managing multiple projects with diverse requirements.
About you
  • Understanding of active travel and issues facing communities that experience inequalities.
  • An understanding of the links between engagement and urban design.
  • An understanding of how the shape of our built environment impacts health and equity.
  • Understanding of and experience community engagement and/or behaviour change concepts.
  • Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects focused on design and infrastructure.
  • The ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and adults at risk.
