Job summary

Walk Wheel Cycle Trust in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead low‑risk behaviour change, engagement, design and infrastructure projects, manage budgets and foster collaboration with local stakeholders.

You will work across the Strathclyde region, with a permanent, full‑time contract (37.5 hours weekly) and flexible working options; disclosure DBS is required due to work with schools and community groups.

  • Understanding of active travel and issues facing communities that experience inequalities.
  • Understanding of and experience in behaviour change concepts.
  • Experience of health and safety management including risk assessment procedures.
  • Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects focused on design and infrastructure.
  • The ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and adults at risk.

Full-time 37.5 hours per week – we are happy to talk flexible working

Base: Glasgow, with travel expected across the Strathclyde region.

Contract: Permanent

Disclosure: Basic/Enhanced/ DBS is required for this position as the post holder will be working with school and community groups in the region.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Team: Active Journeys Scotland

As the Project Manager, you’ll be playing a key role in delivering behaviour change, design, infrastructure and engagement projects, managing budgets, and fostering collaboration with stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead low-risk behaviour change, engagement, design, and infrastructure projects and campaigns.
  • Manage project budgets, as delegated by line manager.
  • Provide specialist behaviour change and engagement advice, guidance, and plan reviews.
  • Build and maintain impactful relationships with key local stakeholders and decision makers.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys multitasking and managing multiple projects with diverse requirements.
