Job summary

Walk Wheel Cycle Trust in Glasgow is seeking a Project Manager to lead behaviour change, engagement, design and infrastructure projects, manage budgets and foster collaboration with stakeholders. The role is full-time (37.5 hours) with flexible working and travel across the Strathclyde region.

Salary is £33,265 per annum, pro rata for part-time applicants, with the closing date 16 September 2026. The successful candidate will promote safety, equity and active travel initiatives.

  • Understanding of active travel and issues facing communities that experience inequalities.
  • Understanding of and experience in behaviour change concepts.
  • Experience of health and safety management including risk assessment procedures.
  • Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects focused on design and infrastructure.

Job description

  • Contract: Permanent
  • Location: Glasgow, with travel expected across the Strathclyde region.
  • Full-time 37.5 hours per week – we are happy to talk flexible working
  • £33,265 per annum (pro rata for part time)

As the Project Manager, you’ll be playing a key role in delivering behaviour change, design, infrastructure and engagement projects, managing budgets, and fostering collaboration with stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead low-risk behaviour change, engagement, design, and infrastructure projects and campaigns.

Manage project budgets, as delegated by line manager.

Provide specialist behaviour change and engagement advice, guidance, and plan reviews.
