Project Manager

Salary: £70,000-£100,000 DOE + c10% Bonus + Profit Share

Location: Dundee - Relocation Assistance and Sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project delivery—from initiation through final acceptance testing
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding both technical and commercial needs
• Manage budgets, validate financials, and ensure ongoing cost control
• Identify risks early and implement effective mitigation strategies
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation (Budget, Labour Forecasts, Risk Register, Schedules, Change Management, Lessons Learned)
• Build and manage detailed project schedules (MS Project for complex projects), focusing on identifying and maintaining the Critical Path
• Report regularly to senior leadership and clients on progress, risks, and outcomes
• Manage scope changes through formal Change Control processes using internal tools
• Lead project close-out reviews, capturing learnings and driving continuous improvement

Qualifications/Person

• Proven project management experience within a relevant industry (e.g., bespoke capital equipment, industrial automation, engineering systems)
• Demonstrated success delivering multiple, complex projects with cross-functional teams
• Solid understanding of capital equipment engineering and/or automation technologies
• Degree-level education or equivalent, with strong project management aptitude
• Practical knowledge of project planning tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Gantt charts, risk assessments)
• Strong commercial awareness, including familiarity with contractual and financial project elements
• Sound analytical thinking and creative problem-solving capabilities
• Strong customer service mindset with a talent for relationship-building
• A collaborative spirit with the ability to lead or contribute within a team
• A continuous improvement mindset—open to new ideas and ways of working
• Located in the Dundee area; relocation assistance can be provided and the role is also open to experienced individuals based in the UK who require sponsorship
