Job description
Overview

Our Store Development team are now looking for a Project Manager to take ownership of delivering exciting and technically complex projects within Harrods. With a strong focus on food and beverage production spaces, this is an opportunity to work on projects that sit at the very heart of our hospitality offering, as well as shaping innovative retail experiences and bespoke joinery-led solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from brief through to delivery, spanning Capital, Vendor Funded and Joint Funded work.
  • Deliver projects ranging from small fixture and joinery-led schemes up to £500k through to major refurbishments and relocations valued between £5m and £12m.
  • Work across both customer-facing and back-of-house environments, ensuring technical accuracy, luxury finishes and safe delivery within a live retail setting.
  • Partner with designers, architects, M&E experts and contractors, while also engaging stakeholders from retail operations through to senior leadership.
  • Carry out detailed site inspections, verifying technical solutions against drawings and ensuring buildability as well as quality.
  • Share your knowledge to support new colleagues and ensure projects reflect the Harrods level of excellence.

Harrods offers a range of company-wide benefits including 33% staff discount, subsidised medical and dental cover, discounted gym membership and more.

About You

You will be a technically confident and detail-focused Project Manager, bringing both practical site experience and a proven ability to deliver complex builds. While a background in retail or hospitality would be beneficial, we also welcome candidates from high-end housing or luxury commercial projects, provided you bring strong M&E knowledge and an understanding of quality finishes.

Qualifications
  • Hold a degree in Architecture, Building Surveying, a construction-related discipline or demonstrate equivalent professional experience.
  • Have strong practical knowledge of M&E, joinery and fit-out projects, as well as H&S/CDM regulations.
  • Bring proven site experience, able to verify technical details and spot defects rather than relying solely on drawings.
  • Be confident balancing technical requirements with design-led finishes that reflect the Harrods brand.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and stakeholder management, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Hold professional memberships such as RICS, RIBA or MAPM (desirable but not essential).

This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of hospitality, luxury retail and world-class design, delivering projects that are as technically challenging as they are inspiring.
