Change Grow Live is recruiting a Project Manager for the Birmingham Service to drive Service User Involvement, Volunteering, Marketing & Communications. The role focuses on delivering Birmingham's alcohol treatment and support offer, coordinating with healthcare providers, emergency services and commissioners to improve access and outcomes.

You will lead on governance, data analysis and training coordination while managing multiple priorities to support diverse communities in Birmingham.

Qualifications

• Considerable experience at management level within substance misuse services.
• Strong governance, performance management and quality oversight.
• Understanding recovery pathways across community, residential and Prison provision.

Birmingham Service is looking for a motivated, innovative and values driven Project Manager, who will drive Service User Involvement, Volunteering, Marketing & Communications in a busy and dynamic service committed to supporting people with drug and/or alcohol issues on their recovery journey.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

This role will lead and coordinate the development of Birmingham's alcohol treatment and support offer. Working closely with healthcare providers, emergency services, community organisations, commissioners and internal CGL teams, you will strengthen pathways into treatment, improve engagement with underrepresented communities, increase access to support, and drive better outcomes for people affected by alcohol use. The role requires strong partnership-working, data analysis, service development, training coordination, and the ability to manage multiple priorities to reduce alcohol-related harm and meet the needs of Birmingham's diverse communities.

This role will focus on delivering the ambitions set out by the Department of Health and Social Care and Birmingham City Council to improve outcomes for people affected by alcohol use. You will play a key role in improving health and wellbeing, reducing alcohol-related harm, and addressing unmet need across Birmingham.

About you:

• Considerable experience of working at a management level within substance misuse services with a clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services.
• A demonstrable understanding of performance management frameworks, effective governance, and quality management.
• Knowledge and understanding of the possible recovery pathways available across whole treatment and recovery systems including community, residential and Prison provision.
• Experience of managing project development and leading a service operation.
• Experience of staff supervision and appraisal.
• Well-developed leadership skills.
• Experience of data collection systems, information technology.
• Experience that demonstrates administrative and financial management skills.
• Possess, or be working towards a recognised qualification in health, social care, or management.
