Job summary

Carey Group in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Project Handover Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract to lead the project handover process across multiple sites and disciplines, ensuring documentation is accurate, compliant and delivered on time.

You will work with project teams, clients, subcontractors and regulatory bodies to achieve smooth, compliant handovers, develop and maintain handover templates, and monitor readiness across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in project delivery, QA or compliance within construction/engineering/infrastructure.
• Proven track record in project handovers and compliance.
• Expertise in compiling/completing comprehensive handover docs.
• Strong knowledge of O&M manuals, asset registers & certification processes.
• Understanding of legislation, ISO standards and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with digital document management and EDMS platforms.
• Strong document-control: versioning, metadata tagging, verification.
• Experience supporting internal audits/external reviews.
• Ability to identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Clear written communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate project handovers across multiple sites/disciplines.
• Ensure O&M manuals, as-built drawings, test certificates and compliance docs are complete and on time.
• Collaborate with project teams, clients, subcontractors and regulators for smooth handovers.
• Develop/maintain handover checklists, templates and procedures.
• Monitor handover readiness and report on compliance across projects.
• Support internal audits and implement corrective actions.
• Improve consistency/efficiency of handover and compliance processes.
• Provide practical training and guidance to project teams.
• Align with CDM regulations, Building Safety Act and related legislation.
• Capture lessons learned for future handovers.
