Job summary

MK Search is seeking a Turnover Engineer for a hyperscale data centre project in Newport, Wales. You will coordinate turnover and handover processes, ensuring systems and documentation are complete and ready for client acceptance as the project approaches completion.

The role requires experience in turnover/hand-over on complex construction projects, preferably in data centres or mission-critical facilities, with strong MEP knowledge, documentation control and subcontractor coordination.

Qualifications

• Experience in turnover or handover on complex construction projects.
• Background in data centres, mission critical facilities or other technically demanding projects.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, commissioning interfaces and quality documentation.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing documentation against deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and a practical approach to resolving issues.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate turnover with construction, commissioning and quality teams.
• Prepare, review and track turnover packs and handover documentation.
• Check inspection records, test certificates, O&M manuals and as-built information.
• Monitor snagging and outstanding items, work with subcontractors to close-out.
• Maintain turnover trackers and report progress against milestones.
• Liaise with client representatives to support a structured handover.
