Job summary

Ross-Shire Engineering Limited is seeking a Project Engineer to drive delivery of chemical and wastewater projects. You’ll collaborate with our in‑house design team and client teams, ensuring technical, commercial, programme, quality and HSE objectives are met.

You’ll lead from enquiry through to completion, coordinating trades, reviewing drawings, and ensuring construction phase safety plans are in place. This role offers growth in a supportive, innovative MEICA environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in Hazardous Environments (chlorine gas or methanol dosing).
• Proven engineering or supervisory track record.
• Strong time management and ability to multitask in a busy environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Liaise on projects from enquiry to final acceptance, including site surveys.
• Direct and allocate work to Trade Operatives & Apprentices, with focus on quality and safety.
• Ensure technical information is available for design/construction delivery.
• Interpret drawings/specs and prepare final documentation (As Built Drawings).
• Identify and resolve non-conformances in design and construction.
• Manage design of systems and products to align with specs.
• Prepare Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans under CDM.
