Job summary

RSE is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the delivery of chemical and wastewater projects in the UK. You will coordinate design, site surveys, and client meetings, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery while working with our in-house design team.

You will work under the guidance of an experienced team, liaising with clients across framework agreements and driving innovative engineering solutions to meet project goals and milestones.

Qualifications

• Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in Hazardous Environments, preferably Chlorine Gas or Methanol Dosing.
• Proven track record in an Engineering or Supervisory role.
• Good time management; ability to multitask and organise workloads.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to explain technical instructions.
• Knowledge of MEICA tools, equipment and materials.
• Driven and able to work independently or with teams.
• Innovative thinking; able to learn new technologies.
• Ability to prioritise tasks in high-pressure environments.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Project liaison from enquiry to final acceptance; meet with clients to discuss requirements and conduct site surveys.
• Instruct, direct and allocate work to trades and apprentices with emphasis on quality, productivity and safety.
• Ensure all technical information is available for design/construction deliveries.
• Interpret and check drawings, specifications and schedules; prepare final documentation.
• Identify and resolve non-conformances during design and construction.
• Manage design of systems and products to align with specifications.
• Complete contract documents.
• Manage Project Quality deliverables and procedures per internal and client systems.
• Contribute to tender, design and construction programmes with progress updates.
• Liaise with subcontractors; review tenders, quotes and H&S docs.
• Prepare Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans for projects under Principal Contractor duties CDM.
