Job summary

EQUANS is seeking a Project Engineer - Mechanical to support our Data Centre projects in High Wycombe, UK. You will manage on-site construction activities, ensuring quality, safety and timely delivery from inception to completion.

Responsibilities include coordinating with contractors, liaising with authorities and submitting building regulation cards, attending progress meetings and maintaining thorough records. Experience in mechanical services and data centres is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience with a main contractor or large subcontractor.
• Proven technical knowledge of Mechanical Services.
• Problem solving and ongoing learning mindset.
• Self-motivated with organisational skills and deadlines.
• Strong client communication and health and safety focus.
• Desirable: data centres experience; degree in Mechanical discipline is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conformance with quality, environmental and safety standards.
• Coordinate and control on-site construction per plan.
• Liaise with authorities for Building Regulation submissions.
• Attend site meetings and provide progress updates.
• Chair/subcontractor meetings in absence of Site/Project Manager.
• Assist Site Manager with materials management.
• Record keeping: diary, drawings, H&S, COSHH, as-built drawings, levels, foundations, site H&S file.
• Ensure work conforms to quality, environmental and safety requirements.

Equans Data Center is seeking to appoint a Project Engineer - Mechanical, to support our growing Data Centre business in High Wycombe. We are committed to providing cutting edge solutions for our clients Data Centre facilities and are recruiting a Project Engineer - Mechanical to join our innovative team for projects based in the UK, initially based in High Wycombe. The Project Engineer - Mechanical will be part of the team responsible for managing the construction aspects of large projects from inception to completion, within set timescales, to high quality standards and within health and safety guidelines. Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring that work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety standards
• Assist with coordinate and control the on-site construction process ensuring the site build progresses in line with plan
• Liaise with Statutory Authorities and Local Authorities as directed by the Site Manager in the submission of all Building Regulation cards as required to allow the progress of the project
• Attend site meetings, effectively communicate and provide information for Progress Reports
• Chair and minute the subcontractor meetings in the absence of the Site or Project Manager
• Assist the Site Manager in the management of materials
• Record keeping (diary, drawing register, H&S, COSHH Assessments, As built drawings, Levels & Foundations records, site H&S file)
• Assist in ensuring that work is carried out in full conformance with quality environmental and safety requirements
