Job summary

Equans Data Centers is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Mechanical to join our expanding team in High Wycombe and across the UK, leading the mechanical construction elements of large scale data centre projects from inception to completion. You will ensure delivery on time, to high quality standards and in full compliance with health and safety regulations.

The role requires strong leadership, on-site delivery and a demonstrable track record of meeting deadlines while maintaining safety

Qualifications

• Experience with a main contractor or large subcontractor.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• In-depth technical knowledge of Mechanical Services.
• Knowledge and skills to effectively problem solve.
• A keen desire to continually develop knowledge further.
• Be self-motivated, with proven organisational ability and the drive to meet deadlines.
• Customer focused with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Attention to Health and Safety matters.
• Commercially astute.
• Experience in the data centres sector is desirable.
• Degree or equivalent in a Mechanical discipline is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and control the on-site construction process ensuring the site build progresses in line with plan.
• Develop and agree electrical submission and approval process with the client and design team.

• Attend site meetings, communicate effectively, and provide information for progress reports.
• Chair and minute subcontractor meetings.
• Record and report key metrics to team members and management.
• Review procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to policies.

Equans Data Centers is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Mechanical, to join our expanding team and support the delivery of cutting-edge data center solutions in High Wycombe and across the UK. As part of our commitment to innovation and excellence in data center solutions, we are looking for professionals who can lead the mechanical construction elements of large scale projects from inception to completion. The Project Managers – Mechanical will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, to the highest quality standards, and in full compliance with health and safety regulations.

What you will deliver?

• Leading on site mechanical construction activities from start to finish.

• Reviewing procedures and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety Management Plans.
