Job summary

West Berkshire Council is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join the Asset Management team. You will supervise and inspect highway construction works, ensuring compliance with design and contract specifications, while contributing to environmental service delivery.

The role involves autonomy in managing projects, with responsibilities spanning highway and drainage schemes, and preference for experience with term contracts.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in civil engineering projects.
• Experience supervising highway construction works.
• Knowledge of construction materials and their application.
• Full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect contractor highway construction works in line with drawings and specs.
• Deliver highway improvement and maintenance schemes within the Asset Management team.
• Contribute to responsible delivery of Environmental Services projects.
