Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking a Project Engineer in Swansea to join a well-established manufacturing business in South West Wales. You will design process flow diagrams, specify instrumentation and control requirements, and source equipment for plant construction.

You will manage projects from cradle to grave, supervise workshop construction, and liaise with shop personnel while conducting risk assessments and safety studies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Project Engineer role in a manufacturing environment.
• Project management experience – managing projects from cradle to grave
• Experience in process manufacturing and involvement in designing and specifying process equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design process flow diagrams, defining instrumentation and control requirements.
• Source and procure fluid handling equipment and materials for plant construction.
• Supervise workshop-based plant construction and liaise with workshop personnel.
• Manage projects from inception to final acceptance, including design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning – often on-site with customers.
• Conduct risk assessments and safety-related studies.
• Prepare cost estimates for sales quotations, including calculations involving fluid/thermo dynamics.
