Connect Appointments have a permanent opportunity available for a Project Engineer in the Kilmarnock area.

Salary: Up to £51,500 per annum (DOE)

Schedule: 37 hours per week, with an early finish on Fridays

Our client offers a comprehensive range of refurbishment, maintenance, overhaul, engineering support, project management, and repair services to the UK rail and light rail sector. They offer a stable and rewarding working environment from their state of the art facilities in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire.

As a Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Development, planning and scheduling of projects to ensure requirements are met
  • Creating and signing off project documentation
  • Using Bills of Materials (BOMs) to record material requirements for each project and work with procurements to place orders
  • Ensuring compliance with all HSE requirements

The ideal Project Engineer will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • The ability to interpret technical drawings/specifications
  • The ability to collaborate across functions and departments
