Salary from £48,400 with up to 10% Annual Bonus and Single Healthcare

Purpose
Supporting Operations and Maintenance (O&M) activities of ScottishPower Renewables Onshore Wind, Solar and Battery Storage business, you will support Development, Project Delivery and Operational staff in achieving business goals.
Providing technical support to O&M field teams, on both emerging and ongoing technical issues, including the support of technical upgrades and improvement projects, you will assist the Lead Engineer to contribute to the review of design proposals and other matters on behalf of the O&M field team.
Providing technical advice, primarily Control and Instrumentation, you will assist the Lead C&I Engineer with management, and review of Contractors’ proposals, including the management and supervision of Consultants and Contractors.
You will influence O&M requirements in new control system design of emerging technologies, O&M user requirements of Balance of Plant control systems and infrastructure with their Instrumentation, Control and Automation interfaces.
This position will require periods where you will be mobile across operational sites across the UK as required by operational planning and the technical interventions/projects required.
Responsibilities
Assisting the Lead Engineer with logging, categorising and providing solutions to emerging and ongoing Instrumentation, Control and Automation technical issues, you will participate in the identification, specification and technical assessment of solutions to O&M technical challenges, contributing to the delivery of an agreed set of technical schedules for within turbine service and maintenance agreements.
Participating in the technical review of tenders for service and maintenance, major component installation and supply chain related contracts, you will deliver day to day (on/off site) expert technical services in support of Renewable projects whilst supporting the delivery of the Control & Instrumentation related Assets management plan.
Liaising and coordinating with external suppliers and Contractors to ensure delivery of contracted inspection and technical tasks is completed to ScottishPower Renewables standards, you will also adhere to technical strategiesas defined bythe Lead Engineer and contribute to continuous improvement of such strategies, contributing to the identification and management of technical risks, issues and impacts of projects.
Supporting delivery of projects to mitigate identified risks from the business risk register, you will also create and maintain excellent technical relationships with Iberdrola Global Technical Services Engineers in order to deliver technical excellence.
What you’ll bring
Degree qualified or working towards degree qualification in Electrical / Instrumentation and Control or related subject, although relevant experience will also be considered in lieu of academic qualifications, you will display potential to work towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineering status.
With experience of Renewables / Power industry, you will be skilled in Project Management and hold good working knowledge of industry standards, design and installation codes of practice and regulation.
With a proven track record of work across C&I related projects, you will be able to demonstrate your technical support capability and experience, IT literacy and ability to operate MS Office systems and other IT based project management software.
Knowledgeable and experienced in Health, Safety and Environmental legislation associated with Engineering projects, you will possess experience in assessing control systems and associated LV electrical designs, including delivery and management of C&I related Engineering projects.
Possessing a full driving license, you will be prepared to work away from base office location as and when required.
