Veolia Environnement SA is seeking a Project Engineer to lead various water treatment projects within the Energy sector. The role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and previous project experience. VWS Westgarth Ltd is part of VWS Oil & Gas Europe; itself a grouping of three businesses collectively reported through the parent, Veolia Water Technologies (VWT). VWT is in turn part of Veolia Environnement SA, a French multinational business. VWS Westgarth Ltd, whose main office is in East Kilbride, Scotland, is a specialist in water treatment systems for the offshore Oil & Gas sector. We are the world leader in Sulphate Removal Process, which is a sea water treatment system for the offshore industry, and we are also specialists in treatment systems for oilfield produced waters. Our main offshore markets are currently Angola and Brazil, where we also undertake the management responsibility for offices in Luanda and Rio de Janeiro.

VWS Westgarth employs more than 160 staff within their own offices and they work closely with a number of other global Veolia business units on a regular basis.
The Role
The Project Engineer is expected to demonstrate leadership behaviour competences and be flexible to ensure delivery outcomes. The role requires someone who may need to work flexible hours in line with the project and be able to travel.
The role requires a self-motivated individual with a positive 'can do' attitude, someone who can articulate their vision clearly to others and coordinate the action of peers and influence discussions with the supply chain. The project engineer should demonstrate commercial awareness, be well organized, and be comfortable with complex projects enduring a rapidly changing environment and conflicting priorities.
Veolia's projects vary in size and complexity, but contract values typically range between £20m and £60m. The projects consist of multi-discipline Engineering, Procurement, and Construction water treatment modules between 200T and 3000T in weight. They are used by our customers offshore to improve the quality of injection water into the oil wells.

Business Improvement & Operational Excellence Duties
Degree qualified in a relevant Engineering discipline or Quantity Surveying or above.
Previous project management/engineering experience in the delivery of equipment and/or process plant modules for the Energy industry.
