Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Project Engineer in Ripley, Derbyshire to own site projects from concept to handover within a modern manufacturing environment. You will manage CAPEX projects to improve safety, asset reliability and capacity on a busy site.

The role requires planning, budgeting, tender evaluations, contractor management and hands-on commissioning, with 40 hours weekly in a largely office-based setting.

Qualifications

• Project Engineer with experience in manufacturing environments.
• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification.
• Experience in managing capital investment projects.
• Experience of site infrastructure and utilise
• Comfortable with AutoCAD and strong communication/stakeholder management

Responsibilities

• Deliver capital projects from concept to commissioning and handover.
• Create project plans, budgets and schedules; manage cost control and procurement.
• Contractor management, site H&S compliance and stakeholder reporting.
• 40hrs per week, fully office based (core hours 08.30am to 16.45pm, 15:45pm finish on a Friday)

Are you a Project Engineer looking for a role where you can take ownership of site projects from concept to handover, in a modern manufacturing environment with serious ongoing investment?

This is a great opportunity to join a well-established manufacturer where you will manage multiple CAPEX projects, improving safety, asset reliability and manufacturing capacity across a busy site.

The company are part of a larger group with an established UK presence, known for quality and continuous improvement, and they have recently delivered a high volume of capital projects with further major investment planned. As a result of continued success and ongoing site development, they are now looking to add a third Project Engineer into the team.

In this role you will plan and deliver projects end-to-end: building project plans, budgets and schedules, running tender evaluations, managing contractors, reporting progress to stakeholders, and leading commissioning and handover. This is a site-based position with some travel to suppliers/exhibitions when required.

This role would suit a Project Engineer from an automated or semi-automated manufacturing background, looking for a technically varied, high-ownership projects role with long-term stability and exposure to larger CAPEX work.

The Role:
