Job Description:

Job title: Project Controls Officer

Location: Isle of Grain – (Rochester) – Onsite

Duration: 12 months

Our client, an energy infrastructure company, is seeking a Project Controls Officer for a 12-month contract within the Oil & Gas, Energy, and Construction industry, based in Rochester. The role is inside IR35.

Role:

As a Project Controls Officer, you will work with the wider Project Controls team to ensure departmental deliverables are prepared on time and communicated clearly, e.g., Project Management Plan.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining SharePoint and Power BI dashboards, change control, and risk management. Additionally, you will develop and deliver core functions within the Engineering & Construction department. Your duties include governance reporting, compiling key datasets, performance indicators, and metrics, as well as planning and schedule development within a multi-project environment, analyzing and reporting key metrics from integrated programmes (Primavera and MS Project).

Role requirements:

The Project Controls Officer will support the Project Controls lead with administration and team organization. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse group of individuals.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in a STEM subject is desirable
• Experience in Project Controls functions within construction or utilities sectors
• Industry experience in UK Gas, LNG Projects, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG Production, Storage, Vaporisation, Shipping, Cryogenic Pipelines, Process, or Gas Compression at top-tier COMAH sites
• Demonstrated understanding of main Project Controls functions such as cost, change, risk, and planning
