Job description

Job title: Project Controls Officer

Location: Isle of Grain – Rochester – Onsite

Duration: 12 months

Our client, an energy infrastructure company, is seeking a Project Controls Officer for a 12-month contract within the Oil & Gas, Energy, and Construction industries, based in Rochester. The role is inside IR35.

Role:

The Project Controls Officer will collaborate with the wider Project Controls team to ensure departmental deliverables are prepared on time and clearly communicated, such as the Project Management Plan.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing and maintaining SharePoint and Power BI dashboards
• Change control and risk management
• Developing and delivering core functions within the Engineering & Construction department
• Governance reporting, including compiling key datasets, performance indicators, and metrics
• Planning and schedule development within a multi-project environment, analyzing and reporting key metrics from programs like Primavera and MS Project
• Supporting the Project Controls lead with administration and team organization

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in a STEM subject is desirable
• Experience in Project Controls within construction or utilities sectors
• Experience in UK Gas, LNG, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or related fields
• Good understanding of project controls functions such as cost, change, risk, and planning
