A leading company in energy infrastructure is seeking a Project Controls Officer for a 12-month contract role based in Rochester. You will be responsible for ensuring timely departmental deliverables, managing dashboards, change control, and risk management within the energy, oil, and gas sectors. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and experience in Project Controls functions in construction or utilities, ideally with industry knowledge at COMAH sites.

Job title: Project Controls Officer

Location: Isle of Grain – Rochester – Onsite

Duration: 12 months

Our client, an energy infrastructure company, is seeking a Project Controls Officer for a 12-month contract in Rochester, within the Oil & Gas, Energy, and Construction industries, inside IR35.

Role:

As a Project Controls Officer, you will work with the wider Project Controls team to ensure departmental deliverables are prepared on time and communicated clearly, such as the Project Management Plan.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining SharePoint and Power BI dashboards, change control, and risk management. Additionally, you will develop and deliver core functions within the Engineering & Construction department. Your duties include governance reporting, compiling key datasets, performance indicators, metrics, and planning and scheduling within a multi-project environment, analyzing and reporting from integrated programmes (Primavera and MS Project).

Role requirements:

The Project Controls Officer will support the Project Controls lead with administration and team organization. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse individuals.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in a STEM subject is desirable
• Experience in Project Controls functions within construction or utilities sectors
• Industry experience in UK Gas, LNG, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG Production, Storage, Vaporization, Shipping, Cryogenic Pipelines, Process, or Gas Compression, especially at top-tier COMAH sites
• Good understanding of main Project Controls functions such as cost, change, risk, and planning
