Job summary

ACCIONA is looking for a Project Controls Reporting Analyst to support the effective management and reporting of project performance through data integration, business intelligence and process improvement. We are looking for a Project Controls Reporting Analyst to support the effective management and reporting of project performance through data integration, business intelligence and process improvement.

Working across multiple project functions, you will help bring together data from different systems and sources, transforming it into accurate, accessible and meaningful information to support decision-making. You will develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports, while identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, improve data processes and enhance the efficiency of project reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Integration and Management: Collect, consolidate and structure data from multiple project systems and departments, ensuring information is consistent, reliable and suitable for reporting.
• Power BI Reporting: Develop, maintain and enhance interactive Power BI dashboards, reports and visual presentations to communicate project performance, progress and key metrics.
• Project Controls Reporting: Support the preparation of regular project reports, bringing together information relating to programme, cost, commercial performance, resources, risks and other key project indicators.
• Data Analysis: Analyse project data to identify trends, performance issues, anomalies and opportunities for improvement, presenting findings in a clear and accessible format.
• Process Improvement and Automation: Identify opportunities to streamline reporting workflows, automate repetitive tasks and reduce manual data processing through the effective use of digital tools and technology.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve existing reporting processes, data flows and systems, helping to establish more efficient and consistent ways of working.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Project Controls, Planning, Commercial, Finance, Engineering and other project teams to understand reporting requirements and ensure information meets business needs.
• Data Quality and Validation: Implement appropriate checks to ensure the accuracy, consistency and integrity of project data, investigating discrepancies and working with relevant teams to resolve issues.
• Reporting Standardisation: Help develop consistent reporting methods, templates and data structures across project functions, supporting a single, reliable view of project performance.
• Digital Development: Explore opportunities to make better use of available technology, data analytics and automation to improve project controls and management reporting.

Skills and Experience

• Experience in a data analysis, reporting, business intelligence or project controls-related role.
• Practical experience developing reports and interactive dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to manipulate, analyse and consolidate data from multiple sources.
• Ability to work with datasets from different systems and identify ways to structure, connect and present information effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly through visual reporting and presentations.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing reporting requirements and deadlines.
• A proactive approach to identifying inefficiencies and implementing practical improvements.
• Familiarity with Python, SQL or other tools used for data manipulation, automation and process improvement (desirable but not necessary) .
