General Dynamics Mission Systems in the United Kingdom is seeking a Project Controller to provide controls across a range of programmes. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Engineering and Finance teams to deliver accurate project information and help keep projects on track.

You will build and maintain resourced schedules, monitor costs and forecasts, support EVM, and provide clear reporting across schedule, costs and risks.

Competenze

• Previous experience in project controls, project support, PMO, or controlled project environments.
• Experience creating and reporting project schedules using Microsoft Project.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret project data and identify trends or variances.
• Understanding of project cost control, forecasting, risk and resource management.
• Experience or knowledge of Earned Value Management would be beneficial.
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
• Experience of, or familiarity with, automated reporting tools and techniques.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across Project Management, Engineering and Finance teams.
• Experience with AI/ML models is preferred and beneficial for continuous improvement.

• Creating and maintaining resourced project schedules, tracking milestones, critical paths and progress against baseline.
• Monitoring project costs, budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and highlighting potential issues.
• Supporting Earned Value Management (EVM), producing performance reports and addressing variances with project teams.
• Maintaining accurate resource plans, monitoring demand and identifying potential capacity or skills gaps.
• Managing project risks, maintaining risk registers, tracking mitigation actions and risk reviews.
• Producing clear project performance reporting across schedule, cost, risk, resources and Earned Value.
• Supporting effective change control, ensuring baselines are updated and approved.
• Identifying opportunities to improve project controls through automation, reporting tools.
