Our client, an established business within the construction industry, is looking for a Project Assistant to join their Operations Team in supporting House Build projects.

  • The starting salary is £26,000-£28,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience)
  • Location: Based in Avonmouth, Bristol - Office-based role
  • Full-time hours working Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

The Project Assistant role:

This is an administrative-focused role supporting the Operations Manager in planning and organizing short projects, typically lasting 2-4 weeks within the construction industry. The role involves ensuring health and safety standards are met, and supporting with material and labor requirements to ensure smooth project execution.

Main Duties include:
  • Managing the day-to-day running of remedial tasks, including admin tasks such as booking works, data entry, creating 'GoFormz', and invoicing upon completion.
  • Organizing and managing in-house labor and subcontractors as directed by the Operations Manager.
  • Ensuring all necessary paperwork is received and preparing contract files for finance and invoicing.
  • Collating site documents before and after installation.
  • Supporting the Operations Manager to deliver projects within budget, maintaining a running cost sheet for each contract.
  • Handling phone calls from sales, sites, and customers.
  • Managing the customer care inbox.
The ideal candidate:
  • Has previous experience working on projects, ideally within the construction/property sector.
  • Possesses a sound commercial approach to problem-solving.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Has strong IT skills; experience with Sage and Act is advantageous.
  • Possesses a driving license (advantageous).
